“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

As children, we found wonder in everything, spectacular or ordinary. We recorded these experiences to create the foundation for our thoughts, principles, our likes and dislikes, and perhaps ultimately to figure out what makes us happy. Somewhere along the way of growing up, many of us became complacent, satisfied with what we already knew. But that shouldn’t be enough. There are wonders still to be found everyday and everywhere. We just have to spare the time and keep our eyes open for it. Sometimes, I find these experiences in a foreign place with exotic customs, and other times it’s as simple as tasting a new fruit. I just discovered lime fingers for the first time and that blew my mind. Much like rhubarb did the first time I had it in a pie with strawberries. For years, I wanted to know what getting an eight hour massage would feel like and now I know. For my birthday last year, I treated myself to eight straight hours of being contorted by eight different Thai masseuse. It’s not for the faint of heart or body. Below are some of the other incredible experiences I’ve found around the world.
