I’ve visited Turkey a couple times in the last few years and it has one of the easiest and quick visa application that you can do online. The official site to apply for a Turkish visa is not the first link to appear, but there’s no need to use any 3rd party service because the Turkish visa is one of the easiest and fastest online visa you can get. It takes a couple of minutes and you can download the e-visa almost immediately after making the payment.
NOTE: THERE IS NOT NEED TO USE ANY EXPEDITED SERVICE. I received my visa within minutes on the official site. It the same for a Canadian friend of mine.
How Much Is An Online Visa To Turkey For Canadian Citizens?
The current cost for a Turkish e-visa fee for Canadians is now $60 USD as of October 2023.
How To Apply For A Turkish E-Visa Online In 2023 – 2024?
The application on the Turkey eVisa is just 3 pages. The first pages is selecting the country of your travel document and entering a captcha code. You can also log back in from here if you’ve previously started an application.
On the next page, you will need to select your entry date. It will automatically show a visa expiration date 180 days from the date you selected. The visa is valid for 180 days, with a maximum stay of 90 days. You can also see the fee of $60 USD here for Canadians.
If you don’t plan on entering multiple times or stay longer than the last day available in the 180 day period, you can consider setting the entry date a few days earlier than your arrival, just in case your plans change.
The final screen will ask you to fill in your passport information, mother’s name, father’s name, birthdate, birthplace, email, phone and address.
After you filled in your information, you will receive an email with all the information that you will need to approve within 1 hour. It will include a reference number that you can use to log back into your application process at any time.
When you approve the information, you will be taken to a screen to make the payment. The cost for Canadian citizens as of January 1st, 2022 to get a Turkish e-Visa is $60 plus a $1.50 credit card processing fee.
As soon as you make the payment, you will be taken to a screen to download the e-visa within minutes. You’re done.
Passport control should automatically have the e-visa information in their system, but it is always advisable to have a printed copy with you on your travels. I suggest keeping a digital copy on your phone as well.
