I’ve visited Turkey several times in the last few years and surprisingly, it is one of the easiest and quick visa application for citizens of Canada. There are many sites that appear when you search for Online Turkish Visa, but it’s easiest, fastest, and cheapest to apply for an e-visa on the official electronic visa application system.

As of 2023, Canadians can also apply for a multi-entry visa and even a visa on arrival, which was not previously available as an option.

Tourist Visa No Longer Required For Stays Under 90 Days

GREAT NEWS. As of January 1, 2024, Canadian citizens do not need a visa for Turkey for stays up to 90 days in a 180 day period. This means you can enter multiple times as long as you do not exceed a total stay of 90 days in a 180 day period.

What If You Want To Stay Longer Than 90 Days?

For Canadian citizens wishing to stay longer than 90 days, you need to apply for a residence permit.

The tourist residence permit can be acquired by scheduling an online appointment for e-residency applications at e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr for Provincial Directorates of Migration Management Offices. The six month residence permit plus the 90-day initial entry permit will allow Canadian citizens to stay legally in Turkey for up to a total of 9 months.
